Perfectly Clear Mac Photoshop Plug-in BETA
Welcome!

Welcome to the Perfectly Clear Mac Photoshop Plug-in public beta.  Based on the success of our Windows plug-in, we’re super excited about our Mac Photoshop Plug-in and we hope you will be too.  Our goal is to save you significant time while producing dramatic results.  Included on this page is information on our beta program and how you can participate.

What is a beta testing program?

Beta testing is how application developers (i.e. Athentech) test new software in the real world -- beyond the few machines and versions of OS that we have in-house. The goal is to gather feedback and ideas from you to make sure the software is robust and works in your environment.

Please note that the software available in this public beta is not a final release. The product quality and the features are still being developed and completed. Like any beta release, usage of this product carries more risk than using a shipping product.

Who can participate in the beta program?

The beta program is available to the public, so that means anyone with an Internet connection can download it and start putting it to the test. You can download the beta and use it until the product expires. The plug-in will expire 30 days after you install it on your computer.

Known Issues

There are some problems that we already know about, but feel that these are minor enough to work around. You will still be able to get value from using our beta plug-in. Here are the things we know about so far:

  1. Our current documentation has an old way of batch correcting a folder of images. We've since discovered a better way to process any image type (raw, tif, jpg, etc.) in a folder and create a JPG, TIF, or PSD) using the "Image Processor" tool in Photoshop.
System Requirements

Mac OS Leopard or Snow Leopard

Photoshop CS3, CS4, CS5 or Elements 8

2 GB of RAM or more

Procedure
  1. Download the software
  2. Install: Follow the on-screen instructions
  3. Report your findings via email
Your feedback is very important to us.  We’ve designed the software for your use – so please let us know how it’s working and how to make it even better!
Feel free to report anything you like. However, the specific information we're looking for is:
    • Were you able to easily install the plug-in and find it in Photoshop/Elements?
    • Were you able to run the plug-in and correct an image?
    • Were you able to do this on quite a few images without having any problems?
    • What do you think of the results of your corrections?
    • How is the speed of the plug-in?
    • Did you look at our help file and find it useful?
    • If the plug-in crashes or does something that seems like a bug, then please describe:
      • The steps you did that created the problem
      • The version of the OS you’re running, e.g. Mac OS X 10.5.x (Leopard), or 10.6.x (Snow Leopard)
      • The amount of RAM on your machine
  4. Replying to your emails
    • Due to the quantity of emails received, we may or may not have the opportunity to reply.
  5. Check back to this page frequently for new updates and information.
  6. Have fun!
