Before we enter into any of these partnerships, extensive due diligence is performed to ensure that the quality of corrections meet the high benchmark we hold for Perfectly Clear. The criteria that must be meet is:
- Fast speed of corrections
- The corrections must maintain Real Color and not damage your precious memories
- Must be robust over a large volume of images
- Must be unique so that you receive a benefit in image quality
So far we have entered into a select few Technology Partnerships with the following elite companies for the following technology:
Technology:
raw processing engine
Description:
The Bibble raw engine is the fastest and most accurate raw processing engine on the market today.
We chose to incorporate the Bibble engine to support its RAW corrections for three reasons:
-
Bibble Labs is known for its rigor in applying its proprietary Bayer interpolation method to maintaining the raw color information accurately, and to retain the maximum amount of color information for post processing by Perfectly Clear,
-
Bibble Labs is renowned for the speed with which it renders raw images. Because RAW images retain a rich amount of color information they are large files so managing large amounts of information quickly is paramount for you having a satisfying correction process, and
-
Bibble Labs applies exacting precision in correcting the RAW file of your specific camera, supporting 126 cameras on the market.

Company:
Tessera
http://www.tessera.com/technologies/imagingandoptics/red.aspx
Technology:
1) automatic red-eye detection and removal,
2) face detection
Description:
The FotoNation® Red solution from Tessera is the most advanced automatic red-eye detection and correction solution on the market, being embedded in over 100 million digital cameras. This advanced solution is very small, very fast, and has the highest detection rate with lowest false positives in the industry.

Company:
Full Color Spectrum
Description:
Tribeca Imaging Laboratories discovered the limited spectrum of the digital camera, which occurs when the camera manufacturer slaves the negative numbers to zero. The discovery happened at Cornell University where they were working to digitally preserve Cornell’s precious art works.
The challenge is that camera’s can’t properly capture purples and greens. Try pointing your digital camera at a Fedex box, or a purple bride-maid’s dress and notice how they appear blue in the viewfinder of the camera!
When this calibration methodology, called Full Spectrum RGB, is encoded in software it automatically re-maps the limited color spectrum from your photo (as recorded by your camera) back into what was seen by the human eye.
This remapping is the rigor required for Real Color.

Technology:
Noise Removal
Description:
STOIK Noise Autofix is the first photo noise reduction algorithm that allows for fully automatic operation. The algorithm will first analyze the photo to determine if noise exists, and only then apply the proper amount of noise removal. Specific algorithms and settings are applied depending on whether the photo was taken with a digital camera, camera phone, or scanner.
The algorithm includes modules of noise detection, noise analysis and noise filtration which are statistically trained to provide optimal balance between photo noise reduction and preservation of image details. Unlike other noise removal algorithms that blur photos after removing noise, the Stoik algorithm is unique in preserving the crisp details.
The noise in digital photos is reduced by 2 - 3 stops, so that the noise level of the photo shot at ISO 1600 is effectively reduced to ISO 200 - 400 levels.
Stoik has specifically fine-tuned the noise removal solution for cameraphone images. Today’s smartphones joined the megapixel race of recent years. Cramping dozens of megapixels into tiny sensors pushes pixel density to levels unseen before. The result of this race is very high digital noise that plagues pictures taken even at bright light.
Needless to say, the noise is there even in bright daylight.
While latest smartphones come equipped with multi-megapixel chips, the physical size of the chip itself is significantly smaller than those found in dedicated digital cameras. As a result, each individual pixel sees less light and registers a lesser number of photons. In turn, this causes high levels of digital noise compared to dedicated digital cameras even in well-lit conditions.
The Stoik noise removal technology provides smooth low-light, high-ISO performance by offering fully automated zone-based noise detection, analysis, and removal. The product employs sophisticated adaptive algorithms, innovative image representation, and optimal statistical methods to achieve the outstanding noise reduction results without sacrificing image detail.

Color Calibrated Monitors
Description:
The LaCie 700 series
RGB-LED-based backlight units produce purer red, green, and blue primaries,
allowing for the display of up to 123% of the NTSC gamut- exceeding Adobe
RGB and ISO Coated color spaces.
Thanks to embedded gamma correction circuitry containing 14-bit lookup tables, the LaCie 700 Series Monitors calculate color transitions that are 64 times more precise than on regular 8-bit monitors. Coupled with superior Calibration Hardware and
Software options, users can employ a complete range of advanced color
management tools such as Test and Report and Dynamic Profile Selection easily.
